Auto-Sync Troubleshooting

Poly Lens provides detailed device information that may assist in troubleshooting issues with the Poly Lens Auto-Sync feature.

Leverage the State and Last Provisioning Sync columns on the Device Inventory table to check the status of Auto-Sync actions.

Devices that had their credentials synced through Auto-Sync should display a Provisioned or Provisioned (Active) icon in the State column, and the Last Provisioning Sync column should be populated with a recent date/time indicating that the device is actively in contact with the provisioning server.

Device logs can also be used for troubleshooting. Devices should log configuration updates/changes when provisioning credentials are sent via Auto-Sync.

What if Auto-Sync fails

PIN Onboarded devices will stay the same; they just won't be provisioned.

Devices that were already provisioned (credentials change scenario) won't be able to connect to the provisioning server, so they will stop getting configuration from policies. This won't affect the configuration on the device; they just won't be able to get a new configuration until the correct credentials are applied to the device.

When the device is rebooted, Auto-Sync will be attempted again. See Auto-Sync Credentials with Devices for more details on Auto-Sync.
