Datacenter

The following is the setup and configuration information for the Poly Lens Datacenter feature.

Notes:

  • The Lens Relay feature only supports US Datacenter Accounts at this time.
  • Import Devices between regions (US and EU Datacenter) is not supported.
  • If your Account is created/managed in an EU (Germany) Datacenter, and you deploy Lens applications (Lens Desktop, Lens Room), device users, etc. that data will remain at rest in the EU Datacenter. No end user interaction or updates required.
  • Licensing features are available in both datacenters; however, license-related data is only stored at rest in US datacenters.

How to Select a Region During Account Creation

How to Find your Account's Region

  1. In Poly Lens, navigate to ACCOUNT > Account Settings.
  2. Select Details from the side tabs.
  3. Under the Account Information section, find the Datacenter field to see your Account's region.

How to View Datacenter Regions for All Managed Accounts

  1. In Poly Lens, navigate to ACCOUNT > Manage All Accounts.
  2. On the Account List, all the information about the Accounts you manage is displayed, including the Datacenter column.
  3. Select a specific Account from the list, and view additional Account information, including the Datacenter region..

IT Administrator Permissions and Account Details

This section describes how to view and interpret the permissions, account roles, and datacenter assignments for IT administrators in the Poly Lens platform. It is intended to help administrators manage access and compliance across multiple environments.

Administrator Profile Summary

Each IT administrator profile in Poly Lens includes the following key details:

  • Name: e.g., Oliver Peterson
  • Status: Enabled
  • Email: e.g., oli@hotmail.com
  • First Sign-In: e.g., March 9, 2015
  • Last Sign-In: e.g., April 7, 2015
  • Session Count: e.g., 463
  • Public IP Address: e.g., 26.15.14.42 (United States)

Permissions and Roles by Datacenter

Administrators may have different roles across various accounts and datacenter regions. Below is an example of how permissions are structured:
