What's New

  • HP Poly Studio A2 Mic Switching - Added support for a setting in Poly Studio V12 that allows mic switching when the Studio A2 Table Microphone is connected.  

Fixed Issue

  • Fixed an issue regarding Sensors and Presence missing in Poly Lens Cloud impacting device policies.
  • Fixed an issue where device update option is not disabled during a call.
  • Fixed an issue where on-screen alerts for accessibility and Bluetooth are incorrectly displayed upon host or App reboot.

Known Issue

  • The Frame size and HDR settings on HP 960/965 webcam are reset to previously set value and represented incorrectly unless the camera is reconnected.

What's New

  • Proxy configuration - Poly Lens Desktop 2.3 Windows supports Proxy Configuration enabling IT administrators to route application traffic through HTTP(S) proxies using system-wide or per-component settings. See Proxy Configuration for more information.
  • Installation Enhancement – Poly Lens Desktop 2.3 introduces a new installation property for enterprise IT administrators to suppress creation of the desktop shortcut icon during installation. See Installation Enhancement for more information.
  • Loginless deployment – Added the support for the application to always start minimized regardless of whether the user is logged in at the time of installation. 
  • Added support for a setting in Poly Studio V12 that allows mic switching when the Poly Studio A2 Table Microphone is connected.
  • Public BETA support for HP Thunderbolt 4 G6 Docks (100W, 180W, and 280W) is limited in this release. Please refer to Docking Stations section for more details at Poly Lens Desktop – Supported Devices.

Fixed Issues

  • Fixed an issue where “Call Button Lock” setting for Poly Voyager Focus was missing on Poly Lens Cloud.
  • Fixed an issue regarding ANC/Transparency settings missing on Poly Lens Cloud.
  • Fixed an issue affecting the call answering behavior on Poly Blackwire 8225 headsets.
  • Fixed an issue regarding the missing “Incoming call” for Poly Blackwire 8225 headsets on Poly Lens Desktop and Poly Lens Cloud.
  • Fixed an issue where Poly Lens Desktop incorrectly displayed an available update for headsets that were already running the latest firmware.
  • Fixed an issue where Poly Lens Desktop incorrectly appeared offline in the Poly Lens Cloud inventory.
  • Improved ⁠user experience while setting video favorites on Poly Studio P15.

Known Issues

  • An issue with the LegacyHost.exe service can cause the Poly Lens Desktop app to slowdown. The service restarts when the issue is detected and requires no user action.
  • Most of the supported video devices are not detected by Poly Lens Desktop on ARM-based AI PCs.

What's New

  • Bluetooth® Direct for device management and Zoom Call Control: Support for Poly Voyager Focus 2 and Poly Voyager 4300 Series, allows users to customize settings, update their devices and manage Zoom Call Control when connected natively via Bluetooth, without a USB adapter on Windows PC/Notebook.

Known Issues

  • An issue with the LegacyHost.exe service can cause the Poly Lens Desktop app to slowdown. The service restarts when the issue is detected and requires no user action.

  • IT admin cannot set the ANC/Transparency settings via Lens Cloud policy.

  • Most of the supported video devices are not being detected by Lens Desktop on ARM-based AI PCs.

  • During the initial connection setup for Poly Studio V12, the Static connection value does not Save after the first attempt at applying the LAN configuration, but it works on the second attempt.

  • If the 802.1 and Proxy settings are configured on Poly Studio V12 through the Lens Desktop app, the changes won't be visible in the Lens Desktop app UI after saving, if the device firmware is at 1.4.6.430149 or lower. 

  • Once the software for HP 960/965 cameras is updated, the Poly Lens Desktop app must be restarted to display the updated software status.

Important

  • Please refer to the Supported Devices list. Any other devices detected on Poly Lens Desktop may have limited in-app functionality.

Fixed Issues

  • Fixed an issue regarding the EULA prompt when the Poly Lens Desktop App is deployed using the ACCEPTEULA switch. See Accept EULA feature for more information.
  • Fixed an issue regarding the Acoustic Events report on Poly Lens cloud.
  • Fixed an issue where the Poly Lens Desktop App does not auto-launch in the background after loginless deployment.
  • Fixed an issue where the Poly Lens Desktop App starts in Guest mode upon PC reboot after the first connection post-loginless deployment.

Important

  • Poly Lens Desktop 2.0 for Mac ensures platform security for users and requires admin privileges. Please ensure you have the privileges before you proceed with the installation/upgrade.

  • Poly Lens Desktop 2.0 for Mac supports Mac M1 Series Silicon or later. Intel based CPUs are no longer supported with Lens Desktop for Mac.

IMPORTANT

  • To ensure seamless Avaya call control in Poly Lens Desktop, it is necessary to uninstall any existing version of Plantronics Hub.

Known Issues

  • Poly Voyager Free 60 and Voyager Surround 80 when connected to the system via native Bluetooth, incorrectly display settings under the ‘Wireless’ category
  • Performing Factory reset on Poly Voyager Free 60 and Voyager Surround 85 does not revert the following settings to their default value - Mute Reminder mode, Wearing Sensor value, Auto-Answer value, Auto Pause Music value
  • User is unable to Hold or End Microsoft Teams call when using Poly Savi 7320, Poly Blackwire 5210 or Blackwire 8225
  • Poly Studio P15 may incorrectly display "People framing" option for the Tracking mode setting
  • Device Software update button may remain enabled during an active Teams call
  • Incorrect success message displayed when installing certificate with invalid private key

Fixed Issues

  • Resolved an issue for single user and per machine install scenarios where duplicate Poly Lens Desktop app entries were created in the Poly Lens Cloud portal after upgrading the app to version 2.0.
  • Resolved an issue with the missing update prompt on Poly Lens Desktop app.
  • Resolved an issue with updating the Poly Lens Desktop app after postponing the update 3 times.

Known Issues

  • Device update over Native Bluetooth is supported for Device Software version 5039 and above.

  • AMD and Intel audio drivers on PCs/Notebooks must be updated to the latest supported full mute sync in Zoom with Bluetooth Direct. For more information, please refer to this Knowledge Article.

  • Camera Favorites will not be migrated to Lens Desktop 2.0.

  • Disabling the Manage All parent setting may not automatically disable its child settings.

  • Poly Voyager Free 60 and Voyager Surround 80 when connected to the system via native Bluetooth, incorrectly display settings under the Wireless category.

  • The PC’s Bluetooth will be toggled OFF and ON during the install/upgrade/uninstall process.

What’s New

Fixed Issues

  • Improved performance and workflow for Device updates.
  • Resolved an issue where end users were incorrectly notified to update the Poly Lens Desktop App to the latest version, despite the Use Latest available version being toggled OFF in the Poly Lens Cloud Policy.

Known Issues

  • Device update over Native Bluetooth is supported for Device Software version 5039 and above.

  • Support for Poly Studio P21 is deprecated starting with Poly Lens Desktop 2.0.

  • Camera Favorites will not be migrated to Poly Lens Desktop 2.0.

IMPORTANT

  • For Cisco Jabber to work seamlessly, any pre-existing version of Plantronics Hub must be uninstalled.
  • Cisco Jabber must be stopped before initiating the installation/upgrade to Poly Lens Desktop 1.5.1.
    Restart Cisco Jabber once the installation/upgrade is complete.

Fixed Issues

  • Fixed an issue for multiple users on a PC, the previous version of Poly Lens Desktop did not retain the app ID, leading to duplicate Poly Lens Desktop App IDs in Poly Lens Cloud.
  • Fixed an issue when a PC was put to sleep and then awakened, the connection between Webex/Jabber and Poly Lens Desktop failed to re-establish.

Known Issues

  • When using the Cisco Webex softphone, toggling between an active call and a call on hold using a long press of the mute or call control button does not work; the active call remains active.
