The latest release of the Poly Lens Room app brings three new enhancements designed to simplify conference room management, expand compatibility, and empower IT administrators with greater control and flexibility. Whether you are managing a few meeting spaces or hundreds, Poly Lens Room 1.12.20 delivers the tools you need to streamline operations and elevate the in-room experience.
Remote Distribution and Bulk Onboarding
For IT administrators who already have multiple PC-based conference rooms deployed and need an effortless way to onboard and manage them, the new bulk onboarding capabilities will save them time and money. Gone are the days of visiting each room individually to deploy the Poly Lens Room app and onboard the rooms into Poly Lens cloud one by one.
With this release, IT admins can now create and apply a client token and input their provider (Microsoft Teams or Zoom) in a simple script. Using your favorite software deployment tool, the client token allows IT admins to remotely distribute, silently install and automatically bulk onboard the Poly Lens Room app on multiple conference PCs at once—no need to visit each room individually. This will automatically link all your Poly devices in your conference room to your Poly Lens Account.

Device Policy Support
Poly Lens Room now enables the ability for IT admins to manage their device settings and software updates via Individual, Site and Account level policies within Poly Lens cloud. The ability to use the hierarchy of policy for Poly devices connected in a PC-based conference room offers centralized, cloud-based device management that enhances IT efficiency. It enables secure, scalable control of Poly devices, supports remote updates, enforces consistent configurations, and provides real-time analytics—reducing downtime, simplifying administration, and improving collaboration across distributed environments.
Expanded Camera Control with 3rd-Party Support
One of the most exciting additions is basic in-room PTZ (pan-tilt-zoom) control support for any third-party camera connected to supported HP compute and Poly Touch Controllers. By leveraging standard UVC commands, Poly Lens Room now enables seamless integration with a broader range of camera hardware—giving organizations more flexibility in how they equip their meeting rooms.
Third-party cameras are now manageable via the HP Camera Control app, offering a single interface for camera adjustments. This means users can enjoy consistent, intuitive control regardless of the camera brand, reducing training time and improving meeting efficiency.
Why It Matters
With hybrid work here to stay, organizations need meeting room solutions that are flexible, scalable, and easy to manage. The latest Poly Lens Room release delivers on all fronts—supporting diverse hardware, simplifying deployment, and enhancing the user experience.
